Inside of the Midwest Buddhist Temple.

In 1944 the Midwest Buddhist Temple was founded in Chicago by Rev. Gyodo Kono. The website talks about how the establishment of this temple was related to the “resettlement” of many Japanese-Americans who moved to the Chicago area to begin their new lives as World War II ended, as well as the temple's own history. 1
